Make sure and check the spline location of this 40 spline spool.  This spool is not splined all the way through.
The spline location is show in above pictures and there is a space before the spline starts on both sides of the spool.
40 spline Special Offset Steel Spool for the 9" Ford.  (you can't run this spool without the offset ring & pinion).
