SW-520D is a commonly available roller-ball type tilt sensor which consists of two conductive elements (poles) and a conductive free mass (rolling ball), encapsulated in the same case.
The switch would be in the ¡°off position¡± in the horizontal positon, ¡°on positon¡± when raised to 15-90 degree or shakes.
These tilt switches use a metal ball which creates the same outcome as a mercury tilt switch, without the use of mercury and are ROHS compliant.
Widely used in electronic toys, medical electronics, car audio, automatic control systems, testing and measuring equipment, automotive transportation and so on.
