Makko powder is an ideal incense base for cone, stick, and ball incense because of it's lack of scent and burnability. Makko is from the bark of the tabu no ki tree and is used in many Japanese incenses.
Note - makko powder generally needs to be burned with other herbs or resins because it has virtually no scent on its own.
