1961 Anthony Jet Cat with Mercury 1000

Description

1961 Anthony Jet Cat with Mercury 1964 25th anniversary edition 1000.  This is a rare boat due to it's patented hull design, featuring sponsons up front, that taper to the transom. it has been called a "tail dragging hydroplane". it's really fast and I got 50mph on gps.  I restored this boat after I bought it in 2012.  At the time I was able to spare no expense in making this a show- worthy boat.  Example, I had a company called Wefco create a die to extrude an exact duplicate of the original rub rail insert, and had a local paint shop mix a custom formula color to match the original turquoise gel coat.  The transom was replaced with two pieces of 3/4 marine plywood and bonded to the hull, which was painted with Dupont Dulux Enamel in Ford High Performance White.  The deck was glassed to the hull to create a solid leak-proof unit that does not rattle or flex in any condition.  The chrome was replated, all the aluminum trim polished to a high luster.  I made an exact duplicate of the original windshield in 1/4" plexiglass.  The seats have been recovered in the original colors and patterns by Smitty's Marine, who also made a custom mooring cover for the boat and motor.  I found a NOS Ride Guide emblem for the steering wheel, although I won't say how much I paid for it. A set of AirGuide gages grace the dash.  The motor has been tuned and the lower unit resealed with a new impeller by Dry Dock Marine Center of Angola, IN.  a new battery is included.  The Trailer is a Gator that was blasted to bare metal and finished in epoxy enamel.  New tires, wiring, lights and newly plated Gator hubcaps make this an easy and safe rig to tow anywhere.  My health failed after completion, and the boat has not been used since 2017 but Dry Dock winterized it and it has been in dry storage since. life jackets included.  Additional pictures available upon request.
